Ubiquitous Figure

Melancholic smiles of ash and turpentine stain calm expressions of interest,
fluctuating like heart-monitors on terminating guests.

His eyes; brown cotton balls of reassurance -
a twisted coating for obsidian marred and stained with psychosis and turbulence.

Neat, conservative, regal: his hair is hay in a haystack... of those older than himself,
A ubiquitous figure painted with brushes of the ordinary maintained by someone else.

Chasms and watercoloured underlays of swelling asbestos show Sherlock fruitless clues.
Daily macroscopic microbes inspected with fishbowls are the subject of his muse.

Varnish for his peeling paint, his rust is showing through.
A labyrinth made with cosmic rays, he lives his life through you.
Just tried a new style.

Hmm, I really do enjoy this! It is a succinct and intriguing bit of poetry! However, (take note that i speak only out of experience) you have layered the imagery on very, very thick. This kind of "muddies" what you are trying to say. Maybe clean out a few of those adjectives and this piece will be a real gem.

I loved it!
